What is Somatics?
Somatics is a cutting-edge field in therapy and self-education in the west. Somatic Movement enhances human function and body-mind integration through mindful movement.
The somatic exercises and mind-body practices are designed so that
you experience ‘Conscious Relaxation’, where you learn to use
your ‘Awareness’ as an agent for ‘Self-regulation’. It acts as a step towards connecting with deep intuitive and spiritual insights; as well as discovering new possibilities and reclaiming your true potential. (For more details visit

The retreat design includes a unique blend of facilitation through :
• Visualisation
• Vocalisation
• Reflective writing
• Performance.

Working on ourselves within a group will enable us to grow from
each others’ experiences and blooming. It also helps us feel seen,
heard, and held by a community of fellow seekers.

Be aware of :
• What all have you forgotten about your true self?
• What are your self-imposed and conditioned patterns? Are they coming in the way of your freedom?
• Do you truly experience the life within and around you?
• How stress, fear and anger are conditioned responses?
• Why is it that you think in the way that you think?

“The workshop helped me know about my own self, my body and to develop a connect with it. Helped to learn the floor work and also the head and tail connections. Learnt about the value of support in life – body support, emotional support and social support. The workshop opened my eyes about dance and the importance of maintaining good connection between the mind, breathing and body…”
– Abhishek Dias, Student

“I really liked Pushpanjali’s teaching techniques. It is something I could connect to easily. The session was unique and adaptable at the same time. The class was beautiful and will surely help in life. It fills the gaps in one’s mind making it peaceful. Pushpanjali’s knowledge on the topic is commendable…”
– Vaishanavi Padnaik, Working Professional

“It is complete, replete with a thorough review of the literature on somatic studies, research, performance coupled with wise reflections coming from inside of the somatic journey. It is a near perfect blend of theory with practice, from the outside in and the inside out. These wise reflections are integrated into the design and delivery of an experiential and theory based course. The reflection upon and evaluation of the course itself reflect these principled decisions and interactions in action”
– Vivien Marcow Speiser on Pushpanjali’s Somatics Paper. Expressive Arts Therapies, Arts & Healing, Lesley University
